Spectrum Patient Services is committed to creating an inclusive environment that accommodates all individuals, including those with disabilities. We support the goals of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Acts (AODA) and have established policies, procedures and practices which adhere to the accessibility standards set out in the AODA, these include but are not limited to:
Use of Assistive Devices
Spectrum Patient Services is dedicated to serving individuals with assistive devices. Where possible assistive devices are made available to individuals with disabilities.
Spectrum Patient Services will communicate in a manner that takes into account an individual's disabilities and will make reasonable effort to ensure that any individuals with disabilities understand both the content and the intent of the communicated material. Spectrum Patient Services has developed a website that makes use of industry standard techniques to provide the highest possible level of web accessibility and communication.
Support Persons/ Use of Service Animals
Spectrum Patient Services will accommodate individuals with disabilities who are using service animals or support persons.
Comments and feedback, on the services provided by Spectrum Patient Services to individuals with disabilities, can be shared via phone, letter, website contact form or email. Spectrum Patient Services will review all feedback received.
Spectrum Patient Services' employees are appropriately trained in the practices, policies and procedures that deal with the provisions of goods and services to individuals with disabilities. Training includes: how to use assistive devices available at Spectrum Patient Services, communicating with individuals using assistive devices, what to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing Spectrum Patient Services services and the requirements of the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service Act.
